Minus week 3 – Insemination day

Daunting to say the least- it’s a big responsibility, I envisaged feeling like an 11yr old doing a white coat science practical.

With it being out of the ordinary and new for both of us. Physically uncomfortable for one of us, plus the monetary cost of the cake mix. The insemination instructions were read and understood with scrutiny. The videos and advice found on the internet really helped and we talked over every step repeatedly. While the thought of having that responsibility was unnerving to say the least the talking really did help.

I came home from work to see what can only be described as a miniature R2D2. A 15” container which could have been used for missile storage contained the ingredients for our possible future bun.

As soon as we were both (pretending to be) comfortable, it was an enjoyable afternoon. To improve success rate, it’s “better to be having sex at the time of insemination” well of course this was the excuse needed and I obviously made the most of a passionate, giggly and apprehensive experience.

Once the space above the bed was occupied by the legs of my significant other we could ‘relax’..

Queue more giggles.

Then it hit us, we may very well be making a baby.
